REMEDIAL TIE SELECTION

Our remedial wall and pinning tie systems have been designed to provide additional lateral and vertical restraint when conducting Helibeam repairs and to solve a variety of problems...Read more »

Our range of high performance masonry remedial wall ties and pinning ties includes:

  • DryFix
Dry mechanical pinning and remedial wall tie system

  • RetroTie
Remedial wall tie system with dry/resin fix

  • ResiTie
Remedial wall tie system with resin/resin fix

  • CemTie
Grouted tie for stabilising solid masonry

  • BowTie
Wall tie system for pinning walls to floor joists

  • PatchPin
    Concrete patching pin

  • StarTie
    Wall starter tie system

Typically, wall type (e.g. solid, cavity or masonry veneer) and composition will dictate which particular system will be required to provide an effective wall or pinning tie solution.

Commonly, problems involving the tying of cavity or veneer walls with large cavities will require a RetroTie or ResiTie solution, while problems involving the pinning of rubble-filled or deep, solid masonry walls will require a CemTie solution. Problems involving the reconnection of bowed or bulging walls to floor joists will regularly require a BowTie solution. Most often, however, problems involving unsecured masonry leaves or features will require a DryFix solution. A StarTie solution will be required when re-facing. PatchPins may be used when patch repairing concrete.

The tables listed below provide further guidelines on how to choose an appropriate Helifix wall tie solution.

Table 1 matches different wall and pinning tie systems to a selection of different wall constructions and remedial situatons.

Table 2 outlines recommended tie size and clearance hole requirements for of the different systems.

Table 3 details tie penetration and pilot hole requirements for different substrates.
