ResiTie
Remedial wall tie system with a resin/resin fix
ResiTie is the solution to pinning and tying problems where a chemical anchoring is required at both ends of the tie.
ResiTies are ideally suited for use in situations not otherwise suited to the DryFix remedial wall tie system or where a mechanical pinning solution cannot be readily achieved. For example, ResiTies may be used to retrofit wall ties to walls comprised of a variety of very different materials.
ResiTies are easy to install and engineered from Grade 316 austenitic stainless steel. They are suitable for use in all standard cavity and solid masonry construction.
The ResiTie system involves drilling a clearance hole into the material to be pinned, and chemically bonding a helical, stainless steel ResiTie into position with high performance Helifix EpoxyPlus TE2 resin.
APPLICATIONS
- Replacement tie for cavity walls where a resin bond is required at both ends of the tie, or where DryFix does not offer a suitable solution.
- Suitable for atypical situations. For example, ResiTies are suitable for tying multiple skins or deep solid walls, and mixed combinations such as brick/concrete.
FEATURES
- One-piece Grade 316 stainless steel tie.
- Effective in all common building materials.
- Accommodates normal building movement.
BENEFITS
- Economical and effective.
- Quick and easy installation.
- Minimal inconvenience to occupants.
- Leaves building virtually unmarked.
- No splitting of bricks or blocks.
- Far leaf security of fixing easily tested.
- Multiple drip points prevent transfer of water across cavity.
INSTALLATION
-
Drill a clearance hole through the near leaf and 55mm into the far leaf.
-
Clean the hole of spoil using an airjet.
-
Inject EpoxyPlus TE2 resin into the far leaf and insert the tie.
-
Fill the hole in the near leaf with EpoxyPlus TE2 resin, cure and make good.
