RetroTie

Remedial wall tie system with a dry/resin fix

RetroTie is the solution to a variety of pinning and tying problems where a dry/epoxy resin combination fixing is required.

RetroTies are ideally suited for use in situations not otherwise suited to the DryFix remedial wall tie system or where a full mechanical pinning solution cannot be readily achieved. For example, RetroTies may be used to retie masonry comprising a combination of different materials and where the opportunity to achieve a full mechanical connection is undermined by the very poor or soft condition of the near leaf. RetroTies may also be used in situations involving large cavities and where bespoke tools are required to achieve the necessary pilot hole drilling depths.

The system involves driving a self-tapping, helical RetroTie into the far leaf of the wall to be tied or pinned, and resin bonding the remaining end of the tie into the near leaf with high performance Helifix EpoxyPlus TE2 resin.
