Selected studies from 1985-2008

All Helifix products and systems have been exhaustively tested by accredited independent authorities. Listed below is a selection of the programmes conducted worldwide that have investigated the performance of the Helifix range of products and construction techniques.

  • 1985 — 1989 Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes University), UK. Tests of various wall tie systems.
  • 1988 BRE, UK. Report 9A/22/1 on ties. Helifix the first to meet performance requirements.
  • 1990 University of Surrey, UK. Performance of Helifix dowels in timber.
  • 1990 University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Tests of the mechanical characteristics of Helifix Ties. Use of Helifix ties to repair delaminated marble cladding — HeliBar and Helifix ties well suited for seismic applications.
  • 1992 Middlesex University, UK. Tests on Helibeams. Performance three times better than code calculations.
  • 1993 BRE beam tests — Investigation of behaviour and method of calculation.
